Trumpet Vine in West Liberty will be helping at one of the water stations at the Teddy Bear Walkathon Fundraiser on August 13th.
Also, 144 bottles of water have been donated by CMW in West Liberty, and the use of 3 tables has been donated by the Piatt Castles in West Liberty. Project Teddy Bear & Friends thank you so very much! Now, I am working on the lap cards for the Walk-A-Thon. Bears and butterflies to go along with the hat theme!
I talked with JR today. He is the guy passing out stuffed animals to the flood victims in West Virginia. They are getting more donations in and other churches have joined the cause. Clean up is going slow and some people are still living in tents. Continued prayers please.
JR said some of the donations are dirty, and they don't have the time to clean them up. When things settle down, they will bring some of the donations to Project Teddy Bear & Friends. So sweet! Did I mention that JR is blind? Bless his heart for helping the flood victims.
"Gloryland Ministries is accepting donations of gently-loved stuffed animals, holiday decorations, books (especially children’s), sewing items, craft items and kits, old neckties, small office supplies, school supplies for kids, small household decorations, collectibles, puzzles and board games with all pieces, wheelchairs, walkers, canes, bath chairs. The drop-off box is located on the porch at 8908 S. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty. Call Rev. Tami Wenger at 937-465-6081 for more information."
Project Teddy Bear & Friends' total donations so far this year is 823. However, we don't have that many on hand after Saturday's trip to West Virginia. Now, we really need your help to stock up for the second half of the year, and we're still working on beating a record. We need just 980 more donations this year! With your help, we can do this!
Project Teddy Bear & Friends will be delivering around 700 stuffed animals to the children affected by floods in West Virginia this Saturday. Prayers for a safe trip and traveling mercies. Thank you!
