I guess you could say this makes it final. The Teddy Bear Den has been moved to its new home. Sad, but I have great memories of the almost 15 years of my non profit. Who knows what I will get into now? We will be setting up for our Yearly Outreach next year (2022) next to the Teddy Bear Den across the driveway from our house. It will mean no packing many car loads of items up and taking everything to the ball park and that will save lots of time!
We will need a tent to use so we have cover for our customers because it usually rains at some time during the Labor Day weekend and it also protects from the wind. We want our customers to shop without worrying about the weather. We picked out a tent the same size as the booth space we previously had and it is on our Amazon Wish List. Also included on the Amazon Wish List is weights for the tent to keep it from blowing away. There are custom signs to make with our hours that weekend to display along side of the road and we live on a major highway so have plenty of traffic. With Project Teddy Bear & Friends being a non-profit we thought maybe someone would do us a kindness and help us out by purchasing something from our wish list. We have provided a Amazon Smile link at the bottom of the Project Teddy Bear & Friends page. If you order using this link we will also get a donation by using Amazon Smile for Non-Profit Organizations. Thanks and God Bless! Rev. Tami This shows how many stuffed animals we have had donated to Project Teddy Bear & Friends non profit since 2007. This year so far we have had 106 donated. Hoping donations pick up as the year goes along. The goal is to get our second 20,000 donations before our 20th anniversary in 2027. Thanks to everyone who donates to this non profit. The more stuffed animals and thrift items donations we receive the more people we can help. We also accept monetary donations which go to the second storage building fund which will hold the thrift donations and will be called, "The Thrifty Cub Cave." The first storage building, "The Teddy Bear Den" will hold just the stuffed animals and items used to set up a booth at the West Liberty Labor Day Festival which is our annual giveaway. And as of last year we will accept donations from, "Painting for a Cause." Which are my paintings ( a new hobby) and accept donations for the Storage building fund. Also, I will have my books for sale. All of book three sales, "Donn Piatt, The Lodge, and Mac-O-Chee Castle," goes towards getting my board game, "The West Liberty Historian" ready for sale. I just need someone to finish designing the game board, game box, and cards. Blessings!
I have four totes of Children's books and three totes of books for adults that need to find new homes. Please set up an appointment for this next week to choose some for you or your children. Think Christmas presents! Located at The Teddy Bear Den which is south of West Liberty on 68, in between Liberty Motors and Yoder Construction. Afternoon and evenings before dark work best for me. Thanks.
